Psalm 121 :: Darby Translation (DBY)

Psa 121:1{A Song of degrees.} I lift up mine eyes unto the mountains: whence shall my help come?
Psa 121:2My help cometh from Jehovah, who made the heavens and the earth.
Psa 121:3He will not suffer thy foot to be moved; he that keepeth thee will not slumber.
Psa 121:4Behold, he that keepeth Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
Psa 121:5Jehovah is thy keeper, Jehovah is thy shade upon thy right hand;
Psa 121:6The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.
Psa 121:7Jehovah will keep thee from all evil; he will keep thy soul.
Psa 121:8Jehovah will keep thy going out and thy coming in, from henceforth and for evermore.

In 1867, John Nelson Darby translated the New Testament from Greek into English. Further revisions were done in 1872 and 1884. Darby’s work was first published as The Holy Scriptures: A New Translation from the Original Languages by J. N. Darby. After Darby’s death in 1882, some of his students worked together to produce the complete Darby Bible based on the Masoretic Hebrew text, Darby’s German (Elberfelder), and the French (Pau) translations. In 1890, the first complete Darby Bible was published in English. This translation of the Bible is in the public domain.
