Psalm 108 :: Darby Translation (DBY)

Psa 108:1{A Song, a Psalm of David.} My heart is fixed, O God: I will sing, yea, I will sing psalms, even with my glory.
Psa 108:2Awake, lute and harp: I will wake the dawn.
Psa 108:3I will give thee thanks among the peoples, O Jehovah; of thee will I sing psalms among the nations:
Psa 108:4For thy loving-kindness is great above the heavens, and thy truth is unto the clouds.
Psa 108:5Be thou exalted above the heavens, O God, and thy glory above all the earth.
Psa 108:6That thy beloved ones may be delivered: save with thy right hand, and answer me.
Psa 108:7God hath spoken in his holiness: I will exult, I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth.
Psa 108:8Gilead is mine, Manasseh is mine, and Ephraim is the strength of my head; Judah is my law-giver;
Psa 108:9Moab is my wash-pot; upon Edom will I cast my sandal; over Philistia will I shout aloud.
Psa 108:10Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me unto Edom?
Psa 108:11Wilt not thou, O God, who didst cast us off? and didst not go forth, O God, with our armies?
Psa 108:12Give us help from trouble; for vain is man's deliverance.
Psa 108:13Through God we shall do valiantly; and he it is that will tread down our adversaries.

In 1867, John Nelson Darby translated the New Testament from Greek into English. Further revisions were done in 1872 and 1884. Darby’s work was first published as The Holy Scriptures: A New Translation from the Original Languages by J. N. Darby. After Darby’s death in 1882, some of his students worked together to produce the complete Darby Bible based on the Masoretic Hebrew text, Darby’s German (Elberfelder), and the French (Pau) translations. In 1890, the first complete Darby Bible was published in English. This translation of the Bible is in the public domain.
