Psalm 103 :: Darby Translation (DBY)

Psa 103:1{A Psalm of David.} Bless Jehovah, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless his holy name!
Psa 103:2Bless Jehovah, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
Psa 103:3Who forgiveth all thine iniquities, who healeth all thy diseases;
Psa 103:4Who redeemeth thy life from the pit, who crowneth thee with loving-kindness and tender mercies;
Psa 103:5Who satisfieth thine old age with good things; thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.
Psa 103:6Jehovah executeth righteousness and justice for all that are oppressed.
Psa 103:7He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.
Psa 103:8Jehovah is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in loving-kindness.
Psa 103:9He will not always chide, neither will he keep his anger for ever.
Psa 103:10He hath not dealt with us according to our sins, nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
Psa 103:11For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is his loving-kindness toward them that fear him.
Psa 103:12As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
Psa 103:13As a father pitieth his children, so Jehovah pitieth them that fear him.
Psa 103:14For himself knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.
Psa 103:15As for man, his days are as grass; as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth:
Psa 103:16For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone, and the place thereof knoweth it no more.
Psa 103:17But the loving-kindness of Jehovah is from everlasting and to everlasting, upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children,
Psa 103:18To such as keep his covenant and to those that remember his precepts to do them.
Psa 103:19Jehovah hath established his throne in the heavens, and his kingdom ruleth over all.
Psa 103:20Bless Jehovah, ye his angels, mighty in strength, that execute his word, hearkening unto the voice of his word.
Psa 103:21Bless Jehovah, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his that do his will.
Psa 103:22Bless Jehovah, all his works, in all places of his dominion. Bless Jehovah, O my soul!

In 1867, John Nelson Darby translated the New Testament from Greek into English. Further revisions were done in 1872 and 1884. Darby’s work was first published as The Holy Scriptures: A New Translation from the Original Languages by J. N. Darby. After Darby’s death in 1882, some of his students worked together to produce the complete Darby Bible based on the Masoretic Hebrew text, Darby’s German (Elberfelder), and the French (Pau) translations. In 1890, the first complete Darby Bible was published in English. This translation of the Bible is in the public domain.
