Psalm 101 :: Darby Translation (DBY)

Psa 101:1{A Psalm of David.} I will sing of loving-kindness and judgment: unto thee, Jehovah, will I sing psalms.
Psa 101:2I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. When wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house in the integrity of my heart.
Psa 101:3I will set no thing of Belial before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.
Psa 101:4A perverse heart shall depart from me; I will not know evil.
Psa 101:5Whoso secretly slandereth his neighbour, him will I destroy; him that hath a high look and a proud heart will I not suffer.
Psa 101:6Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me; he that walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve me.
Psa 101:7He that practiseth deceit shall not dwell within my house; he that speaketh falsehoods shall not subsist in my sight.
Psa 101:8Every morning will I destroy all the wicked of the land: to cut off all workers of iniquity from the city of Jehovah.

In 1867, John Nelson Darby translated the New Testament from Greek into English. Further revisions were done in 1872 and 1884. Darby’s work was first published as The Holy Scriptures: A New Translation from the Original Languages by J. N. Darby. After Darby’s death in 1882, some of his students worked together to produce the complete Darby Bible based on the Masoretic Hebrew text, Darby’s German (Elberfelder), and the French (Pau) translations. In 1890, the first complete Darby Bible was published in English. This translation of the Bible is in the public domain.
