Pro 9:1

Pro 9:1Wisdom hath built her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars;

Pro 9:2

Pro 9:2she hath slaughtered her cattle, she hath mingled her wine, she hath also prepared her table;

Pro 9:3

Pro 9:3she hath sent forth her maidens: she crieth upon the summits of the high places of the city,

Pro 9:4Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither. To him that is void of understanding, she saith,

Pro 9:5Come, eat ye of my bread, and drink of the wine that I have mingled.

Pro 9:6Forsake follies and live, and go in the way of intelligence.

Pro 9:7

Pro 9:7He that instructeth a scorner getteth to himself shame; and he that reproveth a wicked man getteth to himself a blot.

Pro 9:8

Pro 9:8Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee; reprove a wise man, and he will love thee.

Pro 9:9

Pro 9:9Impart to a wise man, and he will become yet wiser; teach a righteous man, and he will increase learning.

Pro 9:10

Pro 9:10The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of wisdom; and the knowledge of the Holy is intelligence.

Pro 9:11

Pro 9:11For by me thy days shall be multiplied, and years of life shall be added to thee.

Pro 9:12

Pro 9:12If thou art wise, thou shalt be wise for thyself; and if thou scornest, thou alone shalt bear it.

Pro 9:13

Pro 9:13The foolish woman is clamorous; she is stupid, and knoweth nothing.

Pro 9:14And she sitteth at the entry of her house, on a seat in the high places of the city,

Pro 9:18But he knoweth not that the dead are there; that her guests are in the depths of Sheol.

In 1867, John Nelson Darby translated the New Testament from Greek into English. Further revisions were done in 1872 and 1884. Darby’s work was first published as The Holy Scriptures: A New Translation from the Original Languages by J. N. Darby. After Darby’s death in 1882, some of his students worked together to produce the complete Darby Bible based on the Masoretic Hebrew text, Darby’s German (Elberfelder), and the French (Pau) translations. In 1890, the first complete Darby Bible was published in English. This translation of the Bible is in the public domain.
