Galatians 6 :: Darby Translation (DBY)

Gal 6:1Brethren, if even a man be taken in some fault, ye who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of meekness, considering thyself lest *thou* also be tempted.
Gal 6:2Bear one another's burdens, and thus fulfil the law of the Christ.
Gal 6:3For if any man reputes himself to be something, being nothing, he deceives himself;
Gal 6:4but let each prove his own work, and then he will have his boast in what belongs to himself alone, and not in what belongs to another.
Gal 6:5For each shall bear his own burden.
Gal 6:6Let him that is taught in the word communicate to him that teaches in all good things.
Gal 6:7Be not deceived: God is not mocked; for whatever a man shall sow, that also shall he reap.
Gal 6:8For he that sows to his own flesh, shall reap corruption from the flesh; but he that sows to the Spirit, from the Spirit shall reap eternal life:
Gal 6:9but let us not lose heart in doing good; for in due time, if we do not faint, we shall reap.
Gal 6:10So then, as we have occasion, let us do good towards all, and specially towards those of the household of faith.
Gal 6:11See how long a letter I have written to you with my own hand.
Gal 6:12As many as desire to have a fair appearance in the flesh, these compel you to be circumcised, only that they may not be persecuted because of the cross of Christ.
Gal 6:13For neither do they that are circumcised themselves keep the law; but they wish you to be circumcised, that they may boast in your flesh.
Gal 6:14But far be it from me to boast save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom the world is crucified to me, and I to the world.
Gal 6:15For in Christ Jesus neither is circumcision anything, nor uncircumcision; but new creation.
Gal 6:16And as many as shall walk by this rule, peace upon them and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.
Gal 6:17For the rest let no one trouble me, for *I* bear in my body the brands of the Lord Jesus.
Gal 6:18The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, brethren. Amen.

In 1867, John Nelson Darby translated the New Testament from Greek into English. Further revisions were done in 1872 and 1884. Darby’s work was first published as The Holy Scriptures: A New Translation from the Original Languages by J. N. Darby. After Darby’s death in 1882, some of his students worked together to produce the complete Darby Bible based on the Masoretic Hebrew text, Darby’s German (Elberfelder), and the French (Pau) translations. In 1890, the first complete Darby Bible was published in English. This translation of the Bible is in the public domain.
