Psalm 6 :: Brenton's English Septuagint (BES)

Psa 6:1For the end, a Psalm of David among the Hymns for the eighth. (LXX 6:2) O Lord, rebuke me not in thy wrath, neither chasten me in thine anger.
Psa 6:2(LXX 6:3) Pity me, O Lord; for I am weak: heal me, O Lord; for my bones are vexed.
Psa 6:3(LXX 6:4) My soul also is grievously vexed: but thou, O Lord, how long?
Psa 6:4(LXX 6:5) Return, O Lord, deliver my soul: save me for thy mercy's sake.
Psa 6:5(LXX 6:6) For in death no man remembers thee: and who will give thee thanks in Hades?
Psa 6:6(LXX 6:7) [fn]I am wearied with my groaning; I shall wash my bed every night; I shall water my couch with my tears.
Psa 6:7(LXX 6:8) Mine eye is troubled because of my wrath; I am worn out because of all my enemies.
Psa 6:8(LXX 6:9) Depart from me, all ye that work iniquity; for the Lord has heard the voice of my weeping.
Psa 6:9(LXX 6:10) The Lord has hearkened to my petition; the Lord has accepted my prayer.
Psa 6:10(LXX 6:11) Let all mine enemies be put to shame and sore troubled: let them be turned back and grievously put to shame speedily.
