PSALM 10
A Prayer for the Overthrow of the Wicked.
1 Why do You stand H5975 far H7350 away H7350, LORD H3068?
Why do You hide H5956 [fn]Yourself in times H6256 of trouble H6869?
2 In arrogance H1346 the wicked H7563 hotly H1814 pursue H310 H1814 the needy H6041;
[fn]Let them be caught H8610 in the plots H4209 which H2098 they have devised H2803.
3 For the wicked H7563 boasts H1984 of his soul’s H5315 desire H8378,
And [fn]the greedy H1214 person H1214 curses H1288 and shows H5006 disrespect H5006 to the LORD H3068.
4 The wicked H7563, [fn]in his haughtiness H1363 H639, does not seek H1875 Him.
There H369 is H369 no H369 God H430 in all H3605 his schemes H4209.
5 His ways H1870 succeed H2342 at all H3605 times H6256;
Yet Your judgments H4941 are on high H4791, out of his sight H5048;
As for all H3605 his enemies H6887, he snorts H6315 at them.
6 He says H559 to himself H3820, “I will not be moved H4131;

7 His mouth H6310 is full H4390 of cursing H423, deceit H4820, and oppression H8496;

12 Arise H6965, LORD H3068; God H410, lift H5375 up H5375 Your hand H3027.
Do not forget H7911 the humble H6035.

He has said H559 to himself H3820, “[fn]You will not require H1875 an account.”

The [fn]unfortunate H2489 commits H5800 himself to You;

15 Break H7665 the arm H2220 of the wicked H7563 and the evildoer H7451,
