What ^H4100 is the matter with you now ^H645, that you have all ^H3605 gone ^H5927 up ^H5927 to the housetops ^H1406?

You who were full ^H4392 of noise ^H8663,

You tumultuous ^H1993 town ^H5892, you jubilant ^H5947 city ^H7151;

Your dead ^H2491 were not killed ^H2491 with the sword ^H2719,

Nor ^H3808 [fn]did they die ^H4191 in battle ^H4421.

All ^H3605 your rulers ^H7101 have fled ^H5074 together ^H3162,

And have been captured ^H631 [fn]without ^H4480 the bow ^H7198;

All ^H3605 of you who were found ^H4672 were taken ^H631 captive ^H631 together ^H3162,

[fn]Though they had fled ^H1272 far ^H7350 away.

Therefore ^H5921 H3651 I say ^H559, “Look ^H8159 away ^H8159 from me,

Let me weep ^H1065 bitterly ^H4843,

Do not [fn]try ^H213 to comfort ^H5162 me concerning ^H5921 the destruction ^H7701 of the daughter ^H1323 of my people ^H5971.”

For the Lord ^H136 [fn]GOD ^H3068 of armies ^H6635 has a day ^H3117 of panic ^H4103, subjugation ^H4001, and confusion ^H3998

In the valley ^H1516 of vision ^H2384,

A breaking ^H6979 down ^H6979 of walls ^H7023

And a crying ^H7771 [fn]to the mountain ^H2022.

Elam ^H5867 picked ^H5375 up ^H5375 the quiver ^H827,

With the chariots ^H7393, [fn]infantry ^H120, and horsemen ^H6571;

Then you counted ^H5608 the houses ^H1004 of Jerusalem ^H3389

Instead, there is joy ^H8342 and jubilation ^H8057,

Killing ^H2026 of cattle ^H1241 and slaughtering ^H7819 of sheep ^H6629,

And he will become ^H1961 a father ^H1 to the inhabitants ^H3427 of Jerusalem ^H3389 and to the house ^H1004 of Judah ^H3063.

“Then I will put ^H5414 the key ^H4668 of the house ^H1004 of David ^H1732 on his shoulder ^H7926;

When he opens ^H6605, no ^H369 one ^H369 will shut ^H5462,

When he shuts ^H5462, no ^H369 one ^H369 will open ^H6605.

“I will drive ^H8628 him like a peg ^H3489 in a firm ^H539 place ^H4725,

And he will become ^H1961 a throne ^H3678 of glory ^H3519 to his father’s ^H1 house ^H1004.

“So they will hang ^H8518 on him all ^H3605 the glory ^H3519 of his father’s ^H1 house ^H1004, the offspring ^H6631 and the [fn]descendants ^H6849, all ^H3605 the least ^H6996 of vessels ^H3627, from bowls ^H3627 H101 to all ^H3605 the jars ^H3627 H5035.
