“So if you are offering your gift on the altar, and there you remember that your brother or sister has something against you,
Jesus told him, “Foxes have dens, and birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.”
“But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins” — then he told the paralytic, “Get up, take your stretcher, and go home.”
“For whoever has, more will be given to him, and he will have more than enough; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.
“But he has no root and is short-lived. When distress or persecution comes because of the word, immediately he falls away.
“The landowner's servants came to him and said, ‘Master, didn't you sow good seed in your field? Then where did the weeds come from? '
“The kingdom of heaven is like treasure, buried in a field, that a man found and reburied. Then in his joy he goes and sells everything he has and buys that field.
“If anyone says anything to you, say that the Lord needs them, and he will send them at once.”
“For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have more than enough. But from the one who does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.
“But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins” — he told the paralytic —
The scribes who had come down from Jerusalem said, “He is possessed by Beelzebul,” and, “He drives out demons by the ruler of the demons.”
“But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin”[fn] —
“For whoever has, more will be given to him, and whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.”
and begged him earnestly, “My little daughter is dying. Come and lay your hands on her so that she can get well[fn] and live.”
“If anyone says to you, ‘Why are you doing this? ' say, ‘The Lord needs it and will send it back here right away.' ”
“But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins” — he told the paralyzed man, “I tell you: Get up, take your stretcher, and go home.”
“For John the Baptist did not come eating bread or drinking wine, and you say, ‘He has a demon! '

“For which of you, wanting to build a tower, doesn't first sit down and calculate the cost to see if he has enough to complete it?
“ ‘I tell you, that to everyone who has, more will be given; and from the one who does not have, even what he does have will be taken away.
“Show me a denarius.[fn] Whose image and inscription does it have? ”
“Caesar's,” they said.
“For I tell you, what is written must be fulfilled in me:[fn] And he was counted among the lawless. Yes, what is written about me is coming to its fulfillment.”
“Look at my hands and my feet, that it is I myself! Touch me and see, because a ghost does not have flesh and bones as you can see I have.”
The one who believes in the Son has eternal life, but the one who rejects the Son[fn] will not see life; instead, the wrath of God remains on him.
When Jesus saw him lying there and realized he had already been there a long time, he said to him, “Do you want to get well? ”
“Truly I tell you, anyone who hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not come under judgment but has passed from death to life.
“For just as the Father has life in himself, so also he has granted to the Son to have life in himself.
“There's a boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish — but what are they for so many? ”
“The one who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day,
“But we don't know how he now sees, and we don't know who opened his eyes. Ask him; he's of age. He will speak for himself.”
Many of them were saying, “He has a demon and he's crazy. Why do you listen to him? ”
“The one who rejects me and doesn't receive my sayings has this as his judge:[fn] The word I have spoken will judge him on the last day.
“One who has bathed,” Jesus told him, “doesn't need to wash anything except his feet, but he is completely clean. You are clean, but not all of you.”
“I will not talk with you much longer, because the ruler of the world is coming. He has no power over me.[fn]
“Everything the Father has is mine. This is why I told you that he takes from what is mine and will declare it to you.
“When a woman is in labor, she has pain because her time has come. But when she has given birth to a child, she no longer remembers the suffering because of the joy that a person has been born into the world.
“You would have no authority over me at all,” Jesus answered him, “if it hadn't been given you from above. This is why the one who handed me over to you has the greater sin.”
“And he has authority here from the chief priests to arrest all who call on your name.”
He listened as Paul spoke. After looking directly at him and seeing that he had faith to be healed,
“For since ancient times, Moses has had those who proclaim him in every city, and every Sabbath day he is read aloud in the synagogues.”
Paul called one of the centurions and said, “Take this young man to the commander, because he has something to report to him.”
If Abraham was justified[fn] by works, he has something to boast about — but not before God.
You, however, are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. If anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to him.
Or has the potter no right over the clay, to make from the same lump one piece of pottery for honor and another for dishonor?
Now as we have many parts in one body, and all the parts do not have the same function,
I wish that all people were as I am. But each has his own gift from God, one person has this gift, another has that.
But I (not the Lord) say to the rest: If any brother has an unbelieving wife and she is willing to live with him, he must not divorce her.
Also, if any woman has an unbelieving husband and he is willing to live with her, she must not divorce her husband.
But he who stands firm in his heart (who is under no compulsion, but has control over his own will) and has decided in his heart to keep her as his fiancée, will do well.
For just as the body is one and has many parts, and all the parts of that body, though many, are one body — so also is Christ.
And those parts of the body that we consider less honorable, we clothe these with greater honor, and our unrespectable parts are treated with greater respect,
which our respectable parts do not need.
Instead, God has put the body together, giving greater honor to the less honorable,
What then, brothers and sisters? Whenever you come together, each one[fn] has a hymn, a teaching, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. Everything is to be done for building up.
For if the eagerness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what a person has, not according to what he does not have.
For know and recognize this: Every sexually immoral or impure or greedy person, who is an idolater, does not have an inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
For I testify about him that he works hard[fn] for you, for those in Laodicea, and for those in Hierapolis.
But if any widow has children or grandchildren, let them learn to practice godliness toward their own family first and to repay their parents, for this pleases God.
If any[fn] believing woman has widows in her family, let her help them. Let the church not be burdened, so that it can help widows in genuine need.
For Jesus is considered worthy of more glory than Moses, just as the builder has more honor than the house.
He doesn't need to offer sacrifices every day, as high priests do — first for their own sins, then for those of the people. He did this once for all time when he offered himself.
No one who denies the Son has the Father; he who confesses the Son has the Father as well.
Everyone who hates his brother or sister is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life residing in him.
And we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us.
God is love, and the one who remains in love remains in God, and God remains in him.
There is no fear in love; instead, perfect love drives out fear, because fear involves punishment.[fn] So the one who fears is not complete in love.
The one who believes in the Son of God has this testimony within himself. The one who does not believe God has made him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony God has given about his Son.
The one who has the Son has life. The one who does not have the Son of God does not have life.
Anyone who does not remain in Christ's teaching but goes beyond it does not have God. The one who remains in that teaching, this one has both the Father and the Son.
The woman fled into the wilderness, where she had a place prepared by God, to be nourished there[fn] for 1,260 days.
Therefore rejoice, you heavens,
and you who dwell in them!
Woe to the earth and the sea,
because the devil has come down to you
with great fury,
because he knows his time is short.
It deceives those who live on the earth because of the signs that it is permitted to perform in the presence of the beast, telling those who live on the earth to make an image[fn] of the beast who was wounded by the sword and yet lived.
And he has a name written on his robe and on his thigh: King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
Blessed and holy is the one who shares in the first resurrection! The second death has no power[fn] over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will reign with him for a thousand years.
