“That is why I speak to them in parables, because looking they do not see, and hearing they do not listen or understand.
“so that
they may indeed look,
and yet not perceive;
they may indeed listen,
and yet not understand;
otherwise, they might turn back

Looking they may not see,
and hearing they may not understand.
“The seed along the path are those who have heard and then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved.
But he replied to them, “My mother and my brothers are those who hear and do the word of God.”
The men who were traveling with him stood speechless, hearing the sound but seeing no one.
All who heard him were astounded and said, “Isn't this the man in Jerusalem who was causing havoc for those who called on this name and came here for the purpose of taking them as prisoners to the chief priests? ”
Crispus, the leader of the synagogue, believed in the Lord, along with his whole household. Many of the Corinthians, when they heard, believed and were baptized.
They simply kept hearing, “He who formerly persecuted us now preaches the faith he once tried to destroy.”
