“Your servant has indeed found favor with you, and you have shown me great kindness by saving my life. But I can't run to the mountains; the disaster will overtake me, and I will die.

The redeemer replied, “I can't redeem it myself, or I will ruin my own inheritance. Take my right of redemption, because I can't redeem it.”
“But now that he is dead, why should I fast? Can I bring him back again? I'll go to him, but he will never return to me.”
So he said to Ben-hadad's messengers, “Say to my lord the king, ‘Everything you demanded of your servant the first time, I will do, but this thing I cannot do.' ” So the messengers left and took word back to him.
So I sent messengers to them, saying, “I am doing important work and cannot come down. Why should the work cease while I leave it and go down to you? ”
“For how could I bear to see the disaster that would come on my people? How could I bear to see the destruction of my relatives? ”
“House of Israel, can I not treat you as this potter treats his clay? ” — this is the LORD's declaration. “Just like clay in the potter's hand, so are you in my hand, house of Israel.
