The 1st beast is the last days’ dominant world Empire made up of 10 “horns” (kings / kingdoms). He will set up a military post ‘between Jerusalem and the Mediterranean’ (Dan 11:45), maybe a Fort Bragg-like location. See Dan 2:41-43; Dan 7:23-24; cf. Rev 17:8-18. |

The 2nd Beast (the Antichrist) is the leader of the last days’ dominant Empire (Dan 7:24b-26; Dan 11:26-45; Mat 24:15; 2Th 2:4-5; Rev 13:3-8). |

The 8th but one of the 7 refers to Rev 17:11, where the “scarlet beast” is an “eighth and is one of the seven.” After the Antichrist’s “fatal wound is healed” and he comes “out of the abyss,” he will become so powerful that he will be his own kingdom, even though he is part of, and over, the 7th kingdom (“mountain” / “head”). |

The 10 Horns (Rev 13:1; Rev 17:3, Rev 17:11) represent 10 kings / kingdoms that rule the last days’ world Empire and “give their power and authority to the beast,” i.e. the Antichrist (Dan 2:41-42; Dan 7:16-24; Rev 17:12-13). Daniel 7:20 states that the “little horn” (the 11th “horn” – Antichrist), grows to be a large powerful “horn,” and will remove 3 of the 10 kings at some point (Dan 7:8). |

The 3rd Beast (the False Prophet) is the promoter of the 2nd “Beast” during the Tribulation. He causes all to get the mark of the Beast and worship him. |
6 |
The Scarlet Beast (Rev 17:3) is another designation for the last days’ Empire (Rev 13:1-2; Rev 17:8-11), particularly its leader (the 2nd Beast) who “was and is not, and is about to come up out of the abyss.” The Empire and its leader are synonymous. |

The Harlot (‘Mystery Babylon’) sits on the backs of “many waters” (the previous world empires), including the back of the last days’ Empire (the 7th “head” or 7th “mountain”) and its leader - the ‘Scarlet Beast’. The ‘Woman’ is a religious and secular seducer that draws earth-dwellers into the grips of the 10 Kings and the Antichrist. God will cause the 2nd ‘Beast’ (Antichrist) and the 10 to destroy the ‘Harlot’ (the anti-God seducing influence) presumably after using her to secure power. The False Prophet will then cause all to worship the 2nd ‘Beast’ instead of following the enticing ‘Harlot’. |

Rev 17:9-10, “The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman sits, and they are seven kings: five have fallen, one is, the other has not yet come; and when he comes, he must remain a little while.” |
9 |
‘BABYLON’ the ‘Harlot’ (the seducing influence), who ‘sits on many waters’ (nations) and is used by the Antichrist, seems to have a capital city (or cities) in Revelation 17 and 18. Some believe that both capitals may occupy the same location, possibly on the ruins of ancient Babylon. |
|
The religious system capital, maybe a Rome-like city. It will be destroyed by the Antichrist and the 10 kings (Rev 17:16), probably at the time the Antichrist moves into the temple to declare himself to be God (Dan 7:26; Mat 24:15; 2Th 2:3-5), making Jerusalem his own religious capital. |
|
The political / economic capital will be destroyed at Christ’s coming (Rev 18:9), maybe a Dubai-like city. |
