City City
Ezekiel 42:15-20 He measured it on the four sides; it had a wall all around, the length five hundred and the width five hundred, to divide between the holy and the profane. (1 X 1 mile, temple area)
Ezekiel 48:15-17 1.65 X 1.65 miles for the city.
Rev 21:16 The city is laid out as a square, and its length is as great as the width; and he measured the city with the rod, fifteen hundred miles; its length and width and height are equal.
Walls Walls
Isaiah 60:10Foreigners will build up your walls, and their kings will minister to you; for in My wrath I struck you, and in My favor I have had compassion on you.
Ezekiel 40:5 875 ft. X 10 ½ ft. high and 10 ½ ft. wide on each side (temple complex)
Rev 21:17-20 And he measured its wall, seventy-two yards, according to human measurements, which are also angelic measurements. The material of the wall was jasper; and the city was pure gold, like clear glass. The foundation stones of the city wall were adorned with every kind of precious stone.
Gates Gates
Isaiah 60:11-12 “Your gates will be open continually; they will not be closed day or night, so that men may bring to you the wealth of the nations, with their kings led in procession. For the nation and the kingdom which will not serve you will perish, and the nations will be utterly ruined.”
Ezekiel 48:30-34 Gates have names of 12 tribes.
Rev 21:21 “And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; each one of the gates was a single pearl. And the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass.”
Rev 21:25-26 “In the daytime (for there will be no night there) its gates will never be closed; and they will bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it;...”
Rev 21:12-14 Gates have names of 12 tribes & apostles.
Temple Temple
Ezekiel 40:5-42:20 (descriptions of the temple) Rev 21:22 “I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.”
Death Death
Isaiah 65:20 “No longer will there be in it an infant who lives but a few days, or an old man who does not live out his days; for the youth will die at the age of one hundred and the one who does not reach the age of one hundred will be thought accursed.” Rev 21:4 “... and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed
River River
Ezekiel 47:1 “Then he brought me back to the door of the house; and behold, water was flowing from under the threshold of the house toward the east, for the house faced east.”
Zechariah 14:8 “In that day living waters will flow out of Jerusalem, half of them toward the eastern sea and the other half toward the western sea.”
Rev 22:1-2 “Then he showed me a river of the water of life, clear as crystal, coming from the throne of God and of the Lamb, 2 in the middle of the street...”
Trees Tree
Ezekiel 47:7 “Now when I had returned, behold, on the bank of the river there were very many trees on the one side and on the other.”
Zechariah 14:8 “In that day living waters will flow out of Jerusalem, half of them toward the eastern sea and the other half toward the western sea.”
Rev 22:2 in the middle of its street. On either side of the river was the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
Lights Lights
Isaiah 30:26 “The light of the moon will be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun will be seven times brighter, like the light of seven days, on the day the LORD binds up the fracture of His people and heals the bruise He has inflicted.” Isaiah 60:19-20 "No longer will you have the sun for light by day, Nor for brightness will the moon give you light; but you will have the LORD for an everlasting light, and your God for your glory. 20 "Your sun will no longer set, nor will your moon wane; for you will have the LORD for an everlasting light, and the days of your mourning will be over.
Revelation 21:22 “I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. 23 And the city has no need of the sun or of the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God has illumined it, and its lamp is the Lamb.”
Sea Sea
Eze 45; 48; Zec 14:8 lists the Mediterranean and Dead Seas as boundaries. Rev 21:1 “Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and there is no longer any sea.”
