I. THE SEVENTH SEAL.
A. Silence in heaven - about the space of a half hour.
1. When there is a large crowd, silence can be awesome.
2. Why the silence and its significance are matters of speculation.
3. Where the Bible is silent, I prefer to be silent.
II. SEVEN ANGELS, SEVEN TRUMPETS.
B. This begins a new series of judgments that come out of the seventh seal.
III. ANOTHER ANGEL.
A. The earthly tabernacle is a model of heaven.
1. Two altars.
a. One for burnt offerings.
b. Second altar of incense before the veil.
2. They would take the live coals from the first altar and place it upon the incense.
B. Here again prayers are offered with incense.
1. In chapter 5, when Jesus takes scroll.
2. Which prayers here?

3. The many facets of fire.
a. It can consume.
b. It can purify.
c. It can temper.
d. What the fire does depends upon the material placed in the fire.
4. Here the coals cast to the earth are followed with voices, thunderings, lightenings and an earthquake.
IV. AT THIS POINT THE ANGELS PREPARE TO SOUND.
A. The first brings judgment on the earth.
1. Hail.
a. One of the plagues on Egyptians.
b. One of the instruments of judgments against Russians troops.
2. Results.
a. Third part of the trees burned.
b. All the green grass.
B. The second affects the oceans.
1. Like a great mountain of fire.
a. Possibly a large asteroid.
b. Disintegrating on impact, coloring the water a blood red.
2. Results.
a. Water discolored as blood - plague of Egypt.
b. Sea life destroyed.
c. Ships destroyed.
C. Third affects fresh water.
1. Star falling from heaven.
a. Possible angel? 9:1.
b. Meteorite (hardly).
c. Name of star, Wormwood.
2. Results.
a. Half of fresh water polluted.
D. Fourth affects the atmosphere.
1. Diminished light from sun, moon, and stars.
2. When Mt. St. Helens blew, they had to use their headlights to drive in the afternoon.
E. Warning by angel.
