I. THE WORLD TODAY IS BEING CONDITIONED FOR THE ANTI-CHRIST.
A. World economy is in chaos.
1. Banks are being buried in paperwork.
a. Number of checks being processed daily.
2. They are seeking to promote a checkless, cashless society.
a. Bank Americard, MasterCharge, American Express.
3. It's become hazardous for markets and service stations to stay open at night.
a. Many stations refuse money at night.
4. The answer lies in the computer.
a. Everyone assigned a number.
b. Tattoo a number on the right hand.
c. Use a number to buy and sell.
1. Stop robberies.
2. Stop bad checks.
5. The Anti-Christ to control economy (Rev 13:16).
B. World politics in chaos.
1. People are tired of corrupt government.
a. Only 38% turned out to vote.
2. The world needs a strong leader.
a. Most governments very shaky.
b. Ruling party has small majority.
3. People beginning to look for a man who will offer some solutions. 2Th 2:9.
C. The Mid-East crisis is the greatest peril to world peace today.
1. Arabs demanding a Palestine state within Israel.
2. They demand that Israel return all area occupied in six-day war including part of Jerusalem.
3. They demand that the PLO be recognized as leaders of this new state.
a. Arafat received standing ovation at U.N.
4. The Jews will risk chances in new war before capitulating to these demands.
5. Their positions could not be further apart.
6. How they need a satisfactory agreement (Dan 9:27).
D. World today is crying for peace.
1. War is insane.
E. Cry for laboring men (Dan 8:25).
II. THE SPIRIT OF THE ANTI-CHRIST IS AT WORK NOW (1Jo 4:3).
