  1. The flesh has been judged in Christ. “Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with Him” (Rom. 6:6).
  2. We have died to the flesh. “They that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh” (Gal. 5:24).
  3. We are not in the flesh. “But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit” (Rom. 8:9).
  4. The flesh is in us. “I know that in me (that is in my flesh) dwelleth no good thing” (Rom. 7:18).
  5. The flesh is opposed to the new life. “The flesh lusteth against the Spirit” (Gal. 5:17).
  6. Make no provision for the flesh. “Make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof” (Rom. 13:14).
  7. Put no confidence in the flesh. “Have no confidence in the flesh” (Phil. 3:3).
