COVETOUSNESS is the root of all evils. It-

  1. Blunts the sensitive nerve of love (Jude 11).
  2. Blurs the picture of life (2 Tim. 4:10).
  3. Banishes the companionship of generosity (Matt. 13:22).
  4. Breeds the evil worm of discontent (1 Tim. 6:5-8).
  5. Burdens the spirit with the load of sorrow (1 Tim. 6:10).
  6. Blinds the eyes to the beauty of Christ (Luke 18:22-24).
  7. Blasts the unscrupulous devotee with an unholy passion and endless misery (1 Tim. 6:9).
