    2. The new life
      1. We are no longer in the old life under the ruling power of sin
        1. We died out of it

    3. The crucifixion of the “old man”
      1. It has happened in the past
        1. We should know this

        1. The man that I used to be in Adam
          1. I was a man in Adam

            2. Be what you are – you are the new man

          8. Know this
            1. Something to believe

            5. I believe regardless of how I feel – Rom 8:1
            6. We do not take on experience by faith – we are taking the objective truth by faith
            7. Knowing it – believing it – being aware of it – I can now see proofs of the new life within me
    4. The result of the crucifixion of the old man in Adam
      1. In order that the body of sin might be rendered ineffective

          1. The future redemption of the body – Rom 8:23
