What Did Abraham’s Faith Enable Him to Do?

  1. Enabled Him to Believe God’s Word of Promise
    1. The Seed
      1. Father of Nations – Rom 4:17-18

  2. Enabled Him to Believe the Word of God and Nothing Else
    1. Faith is content with God’s Word
      1. Through the Word we trust in the character of God
      2. Through the Word we trust in the ability of God

  3. Enabled Him to Believe the Promise of God in Spite of Circumstances
    1. The problems
      1. Abraham’s age

    3. Faith rises above

    1. Abraham looked through the problems to God
    2. He had an adequate concept of God
      1. Who God is
      2. What God can do
    3. He gave glory to God
    4. He was strengthened by faith and not hindered by unbelief
