Sermon Outline for Romans 10:11-13

  1. The Difference Between the Jews and the Gentiles
    1. Under the Old Covenant (O.T.) there was a difference – God dealt primarily with the Jews
    2. Under the New Covenant (N.T.) the Gospel of Christ with its saving power – Go to all the nations
    3. There is now no difference
  2. The Unlimited Power of the Gospel
    1. Whosoever shall call on Him shall be saved
      1. God can save the “chief of sinners”
      2. God can save from every race
      3. God can save from every social, financial, education level
    2. All who call upon Him shall be saved
      1. All – means that no one who calls will be turned away – Jhn 6:37
      2. All – does not mean that everyone will call on Him
    3. Who is included in the “whosoevers” and the “alls”?
      1. Only those whom God has chosen for salvation
      2. Only those whom God first calls and regenerates
      3. The “calling on Him” – faith is the gift of God’s grace
    4. The Gospel will go to the nations
      1. God will save some Jews and some Gentiles
      2. God will not save every Jew and every Gentile
      3. There will be whosoever will and whosoever will not
    5. The calling on Him
      1. The confession of the need for salvation
    6. The calling on Him is trusting in Christ for salvation
  3. The Common Salvation
    1. The same Lord
    2. The same salvation
    3. The same riches
    4. The same Gospel
    5. The same faith
    6. The same Church Body
    7. The same life-eternal
    8. The same hope – no disappointment or shame
  4. The Basis of this Salvation Is Christ – the Lord Over All
    1. Over the Jews
    2. Over the Gentiles – Act 2
  5. The Riches He Gives to Us – Eph 1
