Stream of Egypt:
(Isa 27:12), the Wady el-'Arish, called also "the river of Egypt," R.V., "brook of Egypt" (Num 34:5; Jos 15:4; 2Ki 24:7). It is the natural boundary of Egypt. Occasionally in winter, when heavy rains have fallen among the mountains inland, it becomes a turbulent rushing torrent. The present boundary between Egypt and Palestine is about midway between el-'Arish and Gaza.
Stream of Egypt:
occurs once in the Old Testament- (Isaiah 27:12). SEE [RIVER OF EGYPT].
The Blue Letter Bible ministry and the BLB Institute hold to the historical, conservative Christian faith, which includes a firm belief in the inerrancy of Scripture. Since the text and audio content provided by BLB represent a range of evangelical traditions, all of the ideas and principles conveyed in the resource materials are not necessarily affirmed, in total, by this ministry.
