  8. John’s Benediction (Rev 22:21)
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. 103 Amen.

100 This is the second time that John has an improper response to the angel’s words (Rev. 19:10).

101 Daniel was to seal up his prophecy, since more was forthcoming (Dan 12:9). Here, the prophecy is not sealed, since it is complete and now ready for reading and heeding.

102 See Deu 4:2, “You shall not add to the word which I am commanding you, nor take away from it,...” The messengers (stars, Rev 1:20), in the spirit of Moses, were to guard the contents of this prophecy. This being the last prophetic word given by Christ, through his apostles, argues heavily for the application applied to the rest of Scripture. There is no need for any further revelation since, “His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness...” (2Pe 1:3).

103 Because you’re going to need it!
