(1.) The fifth son of Seir (Genesis 36:21; 36:26; 36:30; 1 Chronicles 1:38).
The son of Anah and grandson of Seir (Genesis 36:25; 1&Chronicles 1:38). Dishon and Dishan belong to the same root. The geographical position of the tribes descended from these patriarchs is uncertain. Knobel places then to E. and S.E. of the Gulf of Akaba.
